Fine Free Mondays@ the Winslow Public Library!
As long as  they return an items before a replacement bill has been issued, patrons can return books fine free Sunday-Monday.
Do this by returning your items via the book-drop or the circulation desk.
If we are closed on Mondays due to a holiday or bad weather, we will extend this service to Tuesdays until closing.

The Maine State Library provides an online tool that calculates the monetary value of services provides by your public library.

Using this tool and our usage statistics for FY 2022-2023, we see that the library provides $737,954 in services to the town on a budget of $256.516 last year. Put another way,  the town saw a 186% return on investment for last year.  For the 2021-2022 fiscal year, the library provided $647,420 in services with a budget of $232,643 or a  178.29% return on investment for the town last year.

  • Last year 32% of Winslow residents had an active library card.
  • The library had 21,370 visitors and answered 2753 reference questions
  • Last year the library computers and wireless connection were used 5912 times.
  • The library is open on average 44 hours a week, 6 days a week, more than other public libraries in the area.

Library Manuals & Forms

Library Trustees: The trustees meet at the library on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 3 pm (subject to change). Please check the town's meeting calendar for changes to the schedule. The trustees usually don't meet in July & August.
